History
Founded in 1893 by A.P. Murphy and incorporated five years later, Antwerp Exchange Bank has stood as a pillar of stability and support in our community. The original bank, built by C.A. Quisno, first opened its doors with a commitment to serve and grow with its people.
The bank underwent its first major renovation in 1955, and a significant rebuilding in 1962, expanding into the storeroom formerly occupied by W.C. Pate Drug Store. Our current building, which opened on March 6, 1978, amid the historic blizzard of ’78, symbolizes our resilience and commitment to providing unwavering support to our customers, come rain, shine, or snow.
